Press Technology in Plumbing and Mechanical Systems
Press Technology in plumbing and mechanical systems has become a viable alternative to conventional pipe joining methods like soldering.
The presentation will start with a brief history of piping systems followed by an overview of the latest federal regulations for materials in piping systems. Today press fittings are available for multiple applications in residential, commercial and industrial piping systems. The main part of the presentation will focus on the applications, features and benefits of Press Technology and a comparison to traditional pipe joining methods like soldering and grooving. In addition attendees will learn about how press fittings are tested and referenced in federal and local codes.
